Description
This is a beautiful example of an 18ct Edwardian boat ring.
Boat rings come in all shapes and sizes, with all kinds of gemstones. Very common in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, they are ever popular today.
Flanking the juicy mixed-cut ruby are two old single cut diamonds. Two smaller rubies finish off the lineup.
The stones are all secure and in excellent antique condition, with no damage to note. The gallery is still in near perfect condition. The detailing on the shoulders is nearly all faded, as is part of the hallmark.
This 18ct Edwardian boat ring is a size M or 6.5 but would comfortably fit like a 7 or N as well as the band is on the thinner side.
There is a hallmark for Chester 1909, making this ring 113 years old! It definitely has many years left to live.
Total weight is 1.95.
