Description
This is a very pretty Victorian 18ct pearl and diamond ring. One immediately notices the beautiful antique rose-cut diamonds set into a leaf design. Rose-cuts have a subtle, less flashy sparkle than modern brilliant-cut diamonds and are very popular for this reason. The flowing design of the seed pearls is very pleasing to the eye.
The pearls are in excellent antique condition, and each diamond is still secure in its setting. This 18ct pearl and diamond ring has a hallmark for Chester 1897. It also has a stamp for the patent of the ring’s design – a very cool detail to see!
The band features two parts which join together, ending in open split shoulders.
Currently a size 8.5/Q and weighs 2.92g. It is in excellent antique condition – there is just one long scratch to the inside of the head of the ring. Otherwise this ring has light signs of wear in keeping with age.
