This is a 9ct yellow gold ring holding a round cut purple amethyst, with marvelous braided shoulders.
It’s design makes it really stand out and the beautiful purple colour of the stone gives it a regal feel.
Currently a size M 1/2 or 6.75 and not recommended for resizing. Hallmarks for Birmingham present but no date letter. I imagine it dates from the 1990s.
