Description
Here we have a sapphire and diamond cluster ring in 9ct yellow and white gold. What’s so unique about this ring is the sapphire exhibits absolutely beautiful straight colour zoning, as well as a subtle opalescence at certain angles. The colour zoning is not only gorgeous to look at, but is also a tell tale sign that this is a natural sapphire. The subtle opalescence or ‘milky’ effect seen in some angles may be due to natural, internal rutile inclusions in the stone.
Most gem cutters would try and cut a sapphire to avoid any of this being visible, but I personally LOVE it about this ring. It makes it absolutely unique – nobody else has a sapphire exactly like this. To each their own, I guess!
The sapphire is then surrounded by a halo of small round cut diamonds, set lower than the sapphire, allowing it to take centre stage. The ring face as a whole measures 11x9mm and sits 6mm above the finger.
The shank starts out at 3.5mm, tapering down to 1.5mm at the back.
In excellent condition, there are no stamps but it has been tested via XRF to be 9ct gold.
Currently size L and resizable within reason.
