This splendid, chunky piece is an antique rose gold signet ring. Antique rose gold is such a beautiful colour, and its warm tone is hard to find in modern jewellery. This particular signet features a monogram with the letters M, W, E.
There are full hallmarks for Chester 1914, making it antique. It’s fascinating to think of this ring being born at the cusp of the first world war. The things it must have seen!
It weighs a very healthy 7.52g and is a size P 1/2 / 8.25. There are signs of previous resizing in the middle of the band. I would only recommend resizing again with a skilled goldsmith to ensure the ring remains damage free.
This antique rose gold signet is in very good antique condition, with surface scratches commensurate with its age and wear.
It is so smooth on the finger and is a total joy to wear.
