FYI, the latch back/level back/hinge closure we know and love on hoops today was first invented in the 1880s.
This type of closure keeps the earrings secure in your ear all day (and is just another thanks we owe to the Victorians!).
They are in mint pre-loved condition and are fully hallmarked on each hinge.
