9ct tear drop shaped Sapphire Love Knot Earrings set with a royal blue sapphire held in the middle of a love knot.
Love knots symbolise unbreakable bonds between two lovers. It’s a symbol you find in many cultures. They often have an infinity loop to them, where it’s hard to tell where the knot begins and ends.
These earrings are in 9ct gold, and feature a stud back. There is a 375 stamp on the butterfly backs.
There is no hallmark for the age, but my guess is they are vintage before 2002 at least.
They are both in excellent condition and 4 prongs hold the sapphires securely.
The earrings weigh 2.96g. The tear drop portion measures 2cm by 1.5cm (widest part).
The length of the entire earring is 2.8cm.
