Description
This charming Vintage Gold on Silver Paste Ring is in the shape of a daisy. It has a lovely tree bark texture on the shank, which tapers down in the centre.
Paste is also another name for rhinestone or diamante. It is in essence faceted glass and has been successfully used as a gemstone simulant as far back as Ancient Greece!
The paste stones are nice and bright, with the centre stone being a deep red colour. I believe this may actually be a garnet, but I currently don’t have a gem tester to verify this.
The ring has a “Silver” stamp on the inside and the plating is in gold. It is in very good condition, and all the white surround stones are intact.
It’s a UK size Q / US 8.5. Due to the gold plating, resizing is not an option.
