Description
From 1885, I bring you this antique 18ct gypsy ring, carefully set with a central old cut diamond and two blue sapphires on the side. A classic combination that can be adored for another 139 years.
This ring has been looked over by my jeweller, and the settings tightened to ensure it is in ready to wear condition! It shows signs of wear on the metal, normal for a ring of this age. One sapphire has a chip in it which is visible under magnification but does not detract from its wearability in any way.
With full hallmarks for Chester 1885, it is as much a piece of history as it is a beautiful piece of jewellery. Gypsy rings remain a very popular ring style today, which speaks to the ingenuity of Victorian design.
A size N/7, I would recommend against resizing but can always ask my jeweller for a second opinion should you want it resized. Please get in touch!
In very good antique condition. Weight is 2.9g.
