Description
A lovely red faceted Filigree Garnet Ring, set into a beautifully detailed open scroll work band. Excellent finger coverage on this vintage 9ct garnet ring! It wraps nicely around, and is very comfortable to wear.
It seems to me like a reproduction of an Edwardian style ring, in that the Edwardians loved intricate metalwork details like scrolling, leaves, vines, etc. Elegance was number one – and this ring definitely fits the bill. It really makes me think of bygone eras, which is a big part of what draws my attention to certain jewellery. This ring is definitely not a run of the mill.
This Filigree Garnet Ring has a hallmark of GJ, 375 Birmingham and has a date letter for 1993. It’s excellent vintage condition, with no visible surface scratches to note.
It is a size M or 6.5 and can be resized by your jeweller. It weighs 1.70g. The gemstone measures 3mmx5mm.
